Zero Waste America (ZWA)

Zero Waste America (ZWA) is an Internet-based environmental research organization specializing in the field of zero waste, where all "waste" becomes food for nature or another marketplace rather than the traditional fate of being incinerated or land-filled. ZWA also provides information on associated legislative, legal, technical, environmental, health, and consumer issues. This site explains the basics of landfills, but also reveals the severe drawbacks of the current system.
