Aquinas College

Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan offers a 28-semester hour minor degree program in sustainable business. The minor includes a variety of sustainable business issues courses, as well as environmental studies, science, and traditional business courses.

Lawrence Technological University

Lawrence Technological University in Southfield Michigan has recently launched an undergraduate minor in energy engineering. The program aims to provide mechanical engineering students with a better understanding of alternative and renewable energy sources, traditional fossil fuels, nuclear energy, energy management, and conservation.

Portland State University (PSU)

The minor in sustainability includes 7 linked classes that instruct students on the major theories and concepts related to the key dimensions of sustainability and the application of sustainability.

Rochester Institute of Technology- Minor in Sustainable Product Development

In 2007, The Gleason College of Engineering at Rochester Institute of Technology launched a minor in Sustainable Product Development. The program aims to enhance the student's understanding of the economic, ethical and environmental dimensions of sustainability, while also developing awareness of the need for more sustainable approaches to product development, and exploring strategies for developing and delivering sustainable product systems.

Stevens Institute of Technology- Green Engineering Minor

"A new Green Engineering minor has been approved in Stevens Institute of Technology's Charles V. Schaefer Jr. School of Engineering & Science, and is open to engineering undergraduates from all majors. The new minor's first core course, EN 301 Sustainable Engineering, will be offered in the spring 2008 semester. This course can also be taken for general elective credit by students not planning to complete the Green Engineering minor."

University of Florida

The University of Florida offers a 15 credit hour minor in Organic and Sustainable Crop Production. "The Department of Horticulture Sciences offers this interdisciplinary minor, which is open to any student, and encompasses organic and sustainable practices in horticulture and plant science."

University of Florida- College of Liberal Arts & Sciences

This minor in Sustainability Studies is designed to complement any major area of study. Students who apply for this minor will gain knowledge in the emerging field of sustainability and develop a practical skills set through internships, service learning opportunities, and research projects.
